SAHALI PARK PLAYGROUND

Sahali Park playground comes with a crow. Sometimes two. Can you spot them in the photos? We didn’t test the equipment out in case the crows were territorial but they stayed perched either here or the electrical wires near the community garden with the pigeons. Is it called a murder flock if a bunch of crows and pigeons hang out?

This playground is located in a pretty quiet but transient residential area with many paths pointing every which way towards E 7th and E 8th Avenues. Small kids can enjoy biking or scootering around the circular portion of the foot paths, as shown below in the grab from Google Maps. Just keep in mind that the paths going out from the circular portion head towards roads, so please watch out for that.

Multiple paths for running or biking but many go towards the road.

As mentioned, this transient green space is just that – a quick spot to play if you’re passing by. The playground is simple with one spiral slide, arch step ladder, steering wheel panel and monkey bars. It’s quite dated with the classic wood and green metal features. Off to the side is a single standard swing and baby swing.

While heading home and enjoying the small hill and different brick paths at Sahali Park, we unfortunately did come across what I believe was human poop. It was in an area between one of the paths and the alleyway. It’s not like the poop is going to leap out at you, but it’s might be good to do a quick poop and needle check before letting the kids run free. It’s always nice to be poop free, amirite?
